Like a hound on the trail of a fox, I pursue the angle for each project until I tap into and

I've touched the benevolent hearts of donors in fundraising appeals for
Goodwill and the
National Breast Cancer Coalition, crafted print and radio copy for local businesses in the
Tidewater, Virginia area (
Chesapeake Bank, ADIA Insurance, and Nunnally’s Flooring
& Decorating
) and stirred the monetary juices of creative investors in four premiums for
Taipan Financial Group.

Whatever the project, I bring passion and heart to every assignment.

The Passion of…Insight

In 2004, I earned a control with an appeal done for the Washington Humane Society.
That letter raised $22,858 for abandoned and neglected animals…in its first two mailings
alone…using specific examples of how WHS saved lives by joining forces with the collegial
spirit of the Washington, D.C. community.

My Ginger’s Fund appeal letter, also written for the Washington Humane Society, garnered a
staggering
4.55% response rate and raised critically needed funds to help with animal
medical expenses. Ginger…a little white dog…frightened, starving, and left alone outside to
die in a Washington, DC ice storm survived thanks to WHS.

My diverse range of experience includes a degree in journalism, a doctorate in law and, in
2001, the publication of my first suspense novel,
Uneven Advantage. I also write a
monthly online newsletter for  writers called
The Tip Sheet and will soon premiere a new

The Passion of...Purpose

My purpose -- supersizing a passion marketer's ROI through bigger and better sales --
keeps my drive alive. I'm at work on a specialty finance book, recently finished brochure copy
for a faith-based charity in Alabama, and have completed work on a project for Stargazer
Press, a Canadian education publisher, promoting its new literacy aid for children in grades
K-3.

I'll also share my passion of purpose with other writers. In a new book, S
